Remake This: Captured! (1933)

According to Leslie Howard's daughter, Leslie Ruth Howard, "Captured!" was "just another in a long line that helped to pay for the English house, and this was a very important reason for anything." Even Fairbanks called the film a "so-so story" although he was reunited with his good friend after having filmed "Outward Bound" (1930) together just three years before. "Leslie was bound to raise the film's standards and I would have my work cut out just to keep up with him in my performance."

Howard plays a Captain and WW2 Prisoner of War tortured by not having heard from his wife who he only knew for 6 days before marrying her. But it's a surprise discovering one of his old friends RFC Lieutenant Jack "Dig" Digby in the latest batch of prisoners. It's an even bigger surprise discovering that Dig and his wife have been carrying on a six month affair. Dig manages to escape the camp, but it's on Allison to bring his friend back so he can stand trial for rape and murder while he himself stands wrongly accused of shooting a prison guard.
