#ManCrushMonday Ronald Colman in "The Talk of the Town" (1942)

Although this little George Stevens's film is considered to be fluff and a little messy, "The Talk of the Town" has been my first Ronald Colman film and he is just everything! Intellectual, romantic, vulnerable, a little homosocial considering the era, debonair, and all the adjectives one can think up for the sexiness that is a British gentleman actor. As a vacationing law professor in a small town in Philadelphia, his morals begin to change when challenged by an accused arsonist (Cary Grant). All the while, he falls in love with Dilg's schoolmate (Jean Arthur) while being roped into helping defend his case.
